It's Pittsburghalicious. I first saw the trailer while waiting for the new Sherlock Holmes movie to begin. Allow me to reenact my reaction:
*The Dark Knight Rises Trailer Begins*
Me: OH MY GOD!
Friend who was Unfortunate to go with me: What?!
Me: IT'S HERE!
Friend: Who?
Me: *smacks friend in arm* the new Batman trailer! The one that was filmed in Pittsburgh!
Friend: Oh. Awesome! *settles back to watch*
Me: OH MY GOD I SEE HEINZ FIELD
Me: OH MY GOD LOOK IT's THAT CMU BUILDING ON 5th AVE!
Me: *smacks friend in other (in tact) arm* OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE RAVENSTAHL'S NAME ON THE BACK OF THAT JERSEY AND HINES WARD GOT THE TOUCHDOWN BUT THEY BLEW UP HEINZ FIELD!
Friend: Does anyone have any medical gauze and knows how to stitch wounds?
Me: MAN ALIVE, IS THAT SOLDIER'S AND SAILORS? SQUEEE - DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH!
Friend: Never call me again.
Me: BEST TRAILER EVERRR I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL JULY!
*turns to smack friend, but she's gone, so takes out emergency Terrible Towel and waves it*
I reacted similar when I saw the Russell Crowe film, The Next Three Days, also filmed in the 'Burgh. I think my mom's arm is still black and blue from my excitement of pointing out all the parts of Pittsburgh in the movie (the entire movie was filmed here). I can't explain why I get so excited when I see places I frequent, within my own beloved, beautiful city, up on the beautiful silver screen.
But there it is. Excitement. Flailing limbs. Peeing of the pants. Changing into emergency pants, located next to emergency terrible towel. I'm obviously destined to see the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises alone, after any potential companions read this post. *shrugs* One less distraction when I'm looking for the Terrible Towel Sneak.
Oh, here's the official Dark Knight Rises trailer:
With all the great blogs about Pittsburgh out there, I decided to put a twist on the same, beloved topic. As a native Pittsburgher, I blog about only the absolute best, and absolute worst parts about this city, from an insider's perspective. Looking for the best? Want to know the dirt? You got it. It's the 'Burgh, Exposed.

correction- your description made me want to see it with you more, not less. haha. Also- best Burgh movie is "She's Out Of My League" where they own that they are in Pittsburgh!
That's a great one - I really like when they are in the Warhol Museum, and when they made Market Square all pretty and put a fake restaurant in the middle of it.
It's always nice when movies actually own up" to being actually in Pittsburgh - the Next Three Days was like that, too!
