I woke up this morning at the unGodly hour of 6:45am to start my trek back to work after a lovely holiday break. Not surprising, based on yesterday's weather, I was greeted
What I did pay attention to, however, was Pittsburgher's reaction to driving in the snow. Why? WHY?!
Snow is not a freak occurence in the 'Burgh, not by a long, long, shot. Yet during the first few "real" snows of the year, it is many Pittsburghers' moral duty to be completely flabbergasted and caught off guard when the stuff falls to the ground. These Pittsburghers are all, "What's this called, snow? How do I drive in this again? AHH, it's cooooold!"
Sigh.
The Internets just told me that Pittsburgh averages a foot of snowfall in January and 9 inches in February (personally, I feel this is low). That means if you've lived in Pittsburgh for more than 3 years, you have no excuse for your jaw dropping to the floor when it snows on January 3rd. Or any day until about March 15th. Until then, here are my Pittsburgh Winter Weather Helpful Hints.

Agreed!! A lot of people are complaining that the schools around here didn't get a delay.....yeah, that's because there is only MAYBE 2 inches on the ground, get over it! That being said, I am not a fan of the snow but I don't freak out because it finally happened. It is January after all...
