Planning a Pittsburgh Wedding
While planning a wedding isn't an easy task, I'm certainly finding it fun. Exploring and discovering new vendors, people, and places around Pittsburgh to find that perfect combination that will (hopefully) bring to life what I've envisioned has been an adventure.

Being the social media junkie I am, I owe a lot of my ideas to things I've seen and advice I've read on Twitter, Facebook, Etsy and Pinterest. No joke. When I wanted florist recommendations, all I had to do was ask Twitter, and plenty of Pittsburgh brides were more than willing to share their recommendations with me. When I had a hard time picturing what save the dates I liked, I consulted Pinterest, which led me to an Etsy shop, which led me to purchasing my wonderful Save the Dates that I mailed out in January. My wedding photographer was a no-brainer; Weddings by Heather was my hands down, number one choice. Speaking of, if you are so inclined, you can actually read more about Heather and myself, and social media's impact on the wedding planning process.
If any current (or to-be!) Pittsburgh brides are curious, we:
- got our engagement pictures taken (by my Uncle) at Trax Farms and a park in Sewickley
- chose Heather from Weddings by Heather for our Photographer
- chose Peach Prints, via Etsy, for the creator of our Save the Dates.
More info on more great Pittsburgh vendors to come in the next months... less than 5 months to go for Ford & I!

Congrats! I wanted to have Heather as our wedding photographer but she was booked and she recommended the photographer we used. Love her work.
